$30 Million USD
Abraham-Louis Breguet, Paris, France
1782-1827
Commissioned in 1782 by an admirer of Marie Antoinette, this pocket watch features every complication known at the time. The original took 44 years to complete and was finished after both Marie Antoinette and Abraham-Louis Breguet had died.
Known as the 'Queen of Watches', it was stolen from Jerusalem's Museum in 1983 and recovered in 2007. Breguet created a replica in 2008 that took 8 years to complete, demonstrating their commitment to horological heritage.
